Pasečný, Jan ; Šebesta, Vladimír (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This paper takes aim at creating a consistent form of study materials, supplemented with illustrative examples, for Signals and systems subject. The thesis starts with basic characteristics of acoustic, image, biological and communication signals. Characteristics of linear signals and AD&DA conversion has been added to the next part and to complete the submission, discrete signals follow. Diploma thesis as a whole contains basic theoretical description of problematics, which it tries to supplement with interesting examples, connections, graphs and matlab scripts for illustrative presentation of mentioned problematics.
Gathering Wool
Švecová, Jana ; Petříček,, Miroslav (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
The diploma thesis called "The Woolgathering" is connected with the idea of gather a wave. It is the image of vanishing moment, effort for hold something that escapes us. Practical part is represented by installation of text, image and audio based on experience, reflection and reverie.
Seeing Through and Back
Šindelková, Pavla ; Vaculíková, Pavla (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
The aim of my work is to comment on the issue of narcissism, which is marked as an epidemic of our time. Narcissism is mostly psychological phenomenon and its generalization to society is difficult. In my preparatory studies on this topic within sociology, I could not find any solution, that would offer a change of position. In my attempt to achieve this, I went back to the original myth.

Design and realization of the pedal effect on Arduino platform
Gajarský, Tomáš ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The topic of my bachelor’s thesis is the design and the construction of the pedal effect used by the Arduino Due, which is supplemented by the possibility of controlling through the internal web interface, which is mediated by the modul Arduino Ethernet Shield. The following effects are included: echo, tremolo, vibrato, chorus and flanger. For editing the guitar signal in order to interact with AD microcontroller converter, is used the input filter preamplifier circuit. In order of editing the output signal from Arduino is used summing and filtring output circuit for the guitar amplifier. The basic component for these circuits is operating amplifier OPA1644. The goal of this thesis was to create the proposal of the connection schemes, printed circuit board, the program code of the microcontroller, simple web page, as well as the construction and the measurement of the pedal effect.
From victory to crisis: The transformation of the media framing of Petr Fiala's government in the Echo Weekly and in opinion texts on the Echo24 website
Malá, Markéta ; Slomek, Jaromír (advisor) ; Osvaldová, Barbora (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the framing of topics in the Echo Weekly and in the opinion section of the Echo24 website. It tries to record how tribal authors evaluated the activities of Petr Fiala's government during one year against the background of fundamental social changes due to the post-pandemic situation, the outbreak of the war in Ukraine and the economic and energy crisis. The research works with framework analysis using the deductive method, which is based on the search for already defined frameworks. It is a typology of frameworks described in earlier researches as the most frequently used. These are frameworks of responsibility, conflict, economic consequences, morality and the human interest. Searching for them and then analyzing the frames will make it possible to determine which arguments the authors used most often and how they presented the events to the readers. Research questions are set, namely, how the frequency of texts mentioning the government has changed since its appointment over a period of one year, how the frames used have changed during the year and which of them had the greatest representation, and how the authors have changed their arguments regarding the government's activities. In the same way, the hypotheses are set that more and more opinion texts were related...
Space of perception
Olšarová, Markéta ; Skoták, Hynek (referee) ; Korbička, Pavel (advisor)
In her final thesis, the graduate will deal with the overlap of her previous works and build on them thematically. The result will be a site-specific installation, using light and possibly sound media to achieve a real illusion of space through the activation of visual or auditory receptors. The installation will be physically accessible and will be used for perception from the inside.
Ideological presentation of European Union in chosen czech media
Jíša, Martin ; Schneiderová, Soňa (advisor) ; Lütke Notarp, Ulrike (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the media construct of the European Union in chosen Czech mediae. The work applies to a concrete section of medial world using the method of discourse analysis and describes the structural means of the medial image of the European Union, emphasizing the ideological and political aspect of the analyzed material. The analysis is based on the certain period of 2018, when the presidential elections took place. This period was chosen due to the higher probability of occurrence of the required material. The material for discourse analysis was selected in the weekly magazines Echo and Respekt. The crucial criterion for the selection of these two periodicals was their explicit orientation towards conservative, alternatively liberal ideological orientation. The work describes the variability of the creation of media constructs. Due to the wide range of linguistic means, that can be used in discourse analysis, it was necessary to concretize the analysis into several partial linguistic phenomenons. The work is mainly structured in a form of metaphor due to the frequency and the influence. In the analysis, it was necessary to proceed to a more detailed categorization of metaphor so that it could be applied to specific textual material. At the same time, the most...
